About Ben McAdams

Ben McAdams represents Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake and West Valley City in the Utah State Senate.

A Utah native, Ben graduated from the University of Utah and received his law degree from Columbia Law School. Ben practiced law with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York before returning to Utah where he practiced law with Dorsey & Whitney.

Currently, Ben works in local government for Salt Lake City where he oversees relationships between the city, Salt Lake County, and the other cities throughout the county. Ben is also an adjunct professor at the University of Utah law school where he teaches a course on securities regulation. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife, Julie, and their four children.
